AWO

Awo,
The stress of childhood
And the trouble it brought
Stopped you not
From nurturing me.

I caused you pain,
I brought less gain.
Never did you change,
Your love was same.

Awo,
You were my shield,
My pillar; my fortress.
You gave me peace,
When all fought me.

You received me,
When the world deceived me.
You were proud,
Beyond all doubts.

Awo,
All your life,
You have invested in me.
So much power,
You have vested in me.

Though I turned out
Not as you wanted me to,
You still embrace my flaws
And accept my weaknesses

Awo,
A woman of virtue,
That's what you are.
A bundle of passion
Joy, peace and love.

Of all the treasures,
Below and above.
You stand as one;
The outstanding one.

I love you Mum
